Have you ever studied with a giant blue cat? Well, nearly 200 local students will have the opportunity to, thanks to the Yakima Schools Foundation!
YSF is providing two of our local elementary schools with an unique educational art experience: field trips to the Capitol Theatre’s Capitol Kids productions – and Gus (the mascot) will be there!
On March 9th, Margarita Reyna’s first grade class of 116 kids from McClure Elementary will be attending “Mad Science CSI: Live!” to learn about the amazing world of investigative science and technology. The “CSI Team” (production cast) will engage the kids’ analysis and problem solving skills as they invite audience members to come on stage and help solve mysteries occurring at the “Max Space Magic Show.”
On March 18th, Jill Nobel’s second grade class of 80 students from McKinley Elementary will be attending “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” This classic story demonstrates the value of honesty as the kids watch a funny story about what happens to five children who tour Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. The production encourages imagination and brings to life various areas of study, including art, literature, and science.
Argus Insurance, Inc., is a proud sponsor of YSF and the public education programs they provide to our Yakima School District No. 7.
(Will your child attend one of these events? We’d love to hear about their experience! Feel free to email us pictures or your kid’s short stories about their field trip, etc.)
An integral part of Argus Insurance is our Culture of Giving. This is something that truly distinguishes us from many other insurance companies and definitely from the long-distance or web-based insurance brokers.
As a locally-owned company, it is our privilege to share the same community experiences as our customers. Along with that we believe it is our responsibility to do what we can to ENHANCE those communities. You cannot do that by standing on the side lines, you do it by participation and by being connected.
Each and every year Argus makes a substantial investment in support of a wide variety of local organizations and events that make where we live and work a better place. We do this by contributing money AND time, but above all we are “involved” in doing something positive. We do this because at Argus, this is just who we are.
We are proud to have been a part of the good work done by the agencies, organizations or events listed below.
