Argus Insurance, Inc. is a locally owned, independent insurance agency and brokerage in Yakima, Washington, formed in 1983 through the merge of four separate agencies – each with a long, strong history of service.

Since then, Argus has continued to expand its footprint and service in Central Washington.
1990 – Purchase of Orkney & Orkney Insurance, Yakima
1995 – Purchase of Allstar Insurance, Yakima
1997 – Purchase of Speer Insurance, Ellensburg and Cle Elum
2000 – Purchase of Blessings & Associates, Moses Lake
2006 – A Merger with Strain-Barrom Insurance, Sunnyside

Argus Insurance does focus on clients in the Central Washington region, with certified specialists in Agribusiness and Farm Insurance, but it is licensed in over fourteen states, including Hawaii, in order to facilitate providing insurance services – in ALL LINES OF INSURANCE, BONDS and EMPLOYEE BENFITS – to clients of any size, who may move or expand operations.

Argus is licensed as an agent with over a dozen major insurance companies as well as having broker access to hundreds of other carriers, including Lloyds as correspondents and brokers.
Argus is also the only agency in Central Washington representing all three primary providers of Medical Malpractice coverage.
